The processes can and do influence the learning outcomes of teaching/learning situations.

One aspect of the lecturer’s role is to assist students in the formation and discovery of such patterns and rules, thus enhancing and expanding their knowledge. If this is the case how do students learn? The central role of the student in the learning process Bruner’s theory gives us some indication of what learning involves and how the lecturer might assist that process, a process where the lecturer’s role is to produce effective and independent learners.
